Aimee Firor McBride serves as an adjunct faculty member and the Clinic Coordinator for the Master of Science in Yoga Therapy at Maryland University of Integrative Health where she is also piloting a student yoga therapy clinical program in acute care at Howard County General Hospital.
Previous owner and operator of Ananda Shala for nine years, Aimee’s primary focus has been on providing therapeutic services for individuals with chronic pain, inflammation and other stress-related physical and emotional conditions. She does this by guiding individuals toward their internal wisdom so they may discover their capacity for healing, wholeness, and vitality through the tools of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation.
Aimee holds a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists and has earned the designation of Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher at the level of 500 hours through Yoga Alliance. In addition to being a practicing yoga therapist, Aimee is a certified fitness and Pilates instructor with twenty five years of experience.
