Chrissy Martin

Chrissy is passionate about all things mind-body-spirit and is an animal-lover through and through. Having walked a stressful path of engineering and numbers for a long time, she began cultivating her innate compassion for all beings and her desire for a more meaningful personal journey in life through yoga. She always says that yoga is the art of re-discovering the True You. As young children we see (and plow our way through) the world with wonder and excitement – and there’s little room for anything else. She believes that everyone can re-introduce more of that simplicity into daily life.

Due to her love of the Great Outdoors and animals, Chrissy was drawn to complete her 200-hour teacher training in the beautiful, culturally-rich country of Costa Rica. There, she connected deeply with nature, learned about medicinal plants, the local ecology, permaculture, and conservation. These days, she most enjoys developing her personal yoga practice outside amongst anything green. In the studio, she holds a space of balance between motivation and moderation for her students and stays true to her own voice. Nothing makes Chrissy happier than to see students smiling during class and leaving more relaxed than when they arrived.
