Meet The Trainers.
I began practicing yoga five years ago, in my hometown of London, where I fell in love the physical side of it, as well as the deep inexplicable peace I found within after class. I continued my practice (at Ananda Shala) after moving to Frederick in 2013, before leaving on a year-long road trip across the US with my husband in our van; spending time exploring, hiking, biking, climbing, practicing yoga, and being continually inspired and moved by the incredible natural beauty of the world around us. Last year I traveled to Mexico to complete a 200 Hour training immersion in Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda, which completely changed my life and began my journey to healing myself, and my path of spreading the healing powers of yoga and Ayurveda to others through teaching. I love teaching and am especially interested in bringing yoga to those most in need of it.
I’m very thankful to all the teachers who I continue to learn from; since my 200 Hour, I have trained in Trauma-Informed Yoga with Nityda Bhakti in Austin, TX, and am also currently taking an extensive online training in this with my teacher, Lorrie Conglose. Having moved back to Frederick after 3 years away feels like coming home, and I am grateful and delighted to be able to share my practice with the Frederick community. I believe that yoga is so much more than what goes on on the mat; it’s a way of living, a way of simply being in and honoring the world, each other, and ourselves.
